Lyceum Praxis-A Historic Milestone for the Faculty of Education at Lyceum Campus
On 25 July 2025, the Faculty of Education at Lyceum Campus proudly marked a defining moment in its academic journey with the launch o f Lyceum Praxis the Faculty’s first ever peer reviewed e journal. The journal was officially launched by Dr. Mohan Lal Grero, Founder of Lyceum International Schools, together with Dr.(Mrs.) Kumari Grero, Coordinating Principal of Lyceum International Schools, in the presence of distinguished experts in the field of education, the academic staff of the Faculty of Education, and our Bachelor of Education and Diploma students. Lyceum Praxis derived from the word Praxis, meaning bringing theory into practice embodies the very philosophy of teacher education. The journal features carefully selected research abstracts, full research papers, and discipline specific scholarly articles, all subjected to a rigorous peer-review process.
It is now available on the Lyceum Campus website under the Faculty of Education – Publications section. More than the launch of a journal, this represents the Faculty of Education’s commitment to cultivating a vibrant research culture, promoting scholarly dialogue, and contributing meaningful knowledge to the field of education in Sri Lanka and beyond. While this is our first publication, it is only the beginning of a much larger vision.
Lyceum Praxis is the first step in our journey towards establishing a high-quality, internationally recognized Tier 1 academic journal that will inspire educational research, innovation, and evidence-based practice. As we celebrate this landm a rk a c h i e v e m e n t , w e remain committed to advancing research, nurturing academic excellence, and creating opportunities for educators and researchers to transform educational theory into meaningful practice.
