Prospects College of Higher Education (PCHE), once again brought it’s Alumni community together for a beautiful evening of reconnection and celebration at it’s annual alumni gathering in Melbourne, Australia. Despite their busy university schedules and assignment deadlines, the alumni of PCHE gathered to spend time with the PCHE management and their former classmates. Held on the 11th of April 2026 at The Elephant Corridor, the gathering welcomed around 50 students, alumni and members of the PCHE management.

It was a warm and relaxing environment where students could step away from their busy routines, network with former classmates and build new friendships. This alumni gathering has become a meaningful tradition for PCHE students and alumni living in Australia. Each year, the PCHE management visits Australia not only to reconnect with Alumni but also to conduct campus visits and check in with recent transfer students to ensure that they are settling into university life well and making sure that they are receiving all the support needed both academically and personally.

This was a valuable opportunity for students to speak with the management about their experiences so far. Students were able to discuss their future goals, academic progress and the many challenges that come with adapting to university life. The atmosphere was a Sri Lankan inspired buffet dinner which brought a touch of home to the evening. Students felt relaxed as the conversations and shared experiences filled the evening as they spent quality time together. Students who transferred to different universities were able to share their experiences and understand the different university cultures present in Australia.

The alumni would speak about their personal and academic growth since leaving PCHE, while offering encouragement to the recent transfer students. This gathering highlighted the strong relationships and lasting friendships that continue to foster even after students complete their studies at PCHE. The Alumni gathering once again showed Prospects College of Higher Education and it’s commitment to supporting students beyond the classroom and maintaining strong connections with it’s former students studying overseas.

The alumni event served as a good reminder that even though students may move across to different universities, the sense of belonging and community built at PCHE will always continue to remain strong. For over 15 years, PCHE has remained committed to providing students with high quality education and support from the beginning of their journey in Sri Lanka to their transition abroad. Students have the opportunity to complete their first year diploma and seamlessly transfer to internationally recognized universities such as Deakin University, Australian Catholic University, Victoria University and more.
