The 5th Edition of EXITO – A Celebration of Innovation and Excellence at ICBT
After the highly successful EXITO Expo 2025, ICBT the leading private sector educational institute in Sri Lanka is now gearing up for the 06th edition of this flagship event of the campus in EXITO 2026. This annual innovation and technology expo of ICBT Campus, will be held for 03 days for the 1st time in its history on the 07th 08th and 09th of July at the premises of Sri Lanka’s leading private tertiary education provider. “This year’s event is with a special significance, as we have introduced the Inter University Robotics & Innovations Challenge which would be a refreshing addition to this year expo”, Mr. Sampath Perera, the General Manager has started our conversation.
“We believe giving the opportunity for our fellow campuses to showcase their skills and talents along with our own students would create a wonderful association between them and with the exchange of knowledge and ideas would be the most ideal grooming ground for these budding young inventors”, he further added. Launched in 2016, EXITO has grown significantly over the years, evolving into one of the most anticipated academic expos in the country. “We wanted to provide our students with a platform to present their innovative ideas and finalyear projects, which are often transformed into real-world solutions,”recalled by the General Manager Academic & Administration, reflecting on the early days of EXITO.
What sets EXITO apart is its inclusive approach not only does it empower ICBT students, but it also opens its doors to young innovators from schools and now the universities across Sri Lanka. The school-based competition, now an annual feature, has become a beacon for budding inventors and entrepreneurs, providing a rare opportunity to present cutting-edge ideas with the potential to become state-of-theart solutions for the industry. “As a leading tertiary education provider, we see it as our responsibility to nurture young talent and give them the exposure they deserve. That’s why the school competition was introduced,” Mr. Sampath Perera explained.
The last edition, EXITO 2025 was a resounding success, with record-breaking numbers of exhibitors and visitors. The event featured a wide array of groundbreaking student projects and innovations, capturing the interest of academia, industry professionals, and the general public alike. In addition to the exposure and networking opportunities, the most outstanding exhibits of Inter University, Inter School and Inter ICBT students would be recognised and awarded through a comprehensive evaluation process led by expert judging panels. Awards were presented across multiple categories, including a dedicated section for school-level participants. “ICBT invites all our fellow universities, schools, industrial professionals and all interested general public to visit Exito 2026 and experience the tomorrow’s technology, today over 03 days this time, exited General Manager Mr. Sampath Perera has extended his invitation.
