A lecture on space science was conducted by the Prof. Aravinda Ravibhanu Sumanarathna in Kegalu Vidyalaya on 2nd November 2018. The students of Kegalu Vidyalaya, St Joseph’s convent, Galigamuwa central college and other neighbouring schools were participated and it was organised by the Astronomical society in Kegalu Vidyalaya under the guidance of Institute of professional studies and skill development in Sri lanka.
Prof. Aravinda Ranabanu is the youngest professor in south Asia and also senior research scientist and Exo Astronomy (UN) research club. Research fellow Geo Science Singapore national university and madras university. He is the director of research and development in the Institute of professional studies and skill development in Sri Lanka . Nearly 400 students were benefitted and it is organised by Mr.W.H.G.Nimal Weerasinghe, Deputy Principal Extra curricular activities in Kegalu Vidyalaya under the guidance of the Principal Mr. S. D.
