
Junior Category Winners
Nestlé Lanka as part of their programme to promote responsible waste management amongst school children concluded a Schools Art Competition 2025 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Central Environmental Authority. Nestlé Lanka’s Schools Art Competition, under the theme of ‘A greener environment through the eyes of children’successfully concluded recently.
The competition was organised in celebration of World Environment Day.
It was conducted as part of the School Waste Management Programme, an initiative which helps create awareness on responsible waste disposal. The programme reached approximately 400,000 students in over 800 schools around the country this year.

Senior Category Winners
An event was held on June 25 at President’s College, Kotte, to recognise and award the winners. Deputy Minister of Environment Anton Jayakodi, CEA chairman Professor Tilak Hewawasam, Managing Director of Nestlé Lanka Bernie Stefan and officials representing the partnering entities and President’s Colle g e Principal Bhag ya Rupasinghe were present. Deputy Minister Jayakodi said the competition encourages children to embrace responsible waste management from an early age.
