Study Abroad Made Seamless with Lyceum Placements Guidance

Wednesday, 1st of April 2026

As students and parents prepare to embark on global academic journeys, navigating the complexities of relocation can often feel overwhelming. Addressing this need, the study abroad arm of the Lyceum Education Group, Lyceum Placements, recently conducted a comprehensive and wellstructured pre-departure briefing session for its students.

The session was designed to equip departing students with the essential knowledge and practical tools required for a successful transition to life overseas. Notably, all participating students were guided free of charge through university selection, application processes, and visa approvals by Lyceum Placements’ team of professionally trained study abroad counselors.

The briefing provided a complete road-map for the international student experience, beginning from arrival in the destination country. Ms. Tharindra Assalaarachchi, Manager – International Student Counselling, emphasised that preparation starts well before departure, highlighting the importance of mindfulness, cultural awareness, and the ability to adapt to a new country while being well-informed about its laws and regulations.

A significant focus was placed on university onboarding and adapting to campus life, helping students confidently navigate their first steps abroad. Beyond logistics, students were encouraged to understand local laws and cultural nuances, fostering adaptability and global awareness. The session also addressed key aspects of physical and personal well-being, ensuring students are fully prepared to manage both academic and personal responsibilities independently. The event concluded with heartfelt congratulations to all students, along with best wishes for their study abroad journeys marking the beginning of an exciting chapter of learning, growth, and lifelong investment in their future.
