Lyceum Wattala emerge Relay Carnival 2026 champions for third consecutive year
Lyceum International School, Wattala once again demonstrated its excellence in athletics by emerging as the Girls’ Overall champions at the All-Island Relay Carnival 2026, successfully defending the title for the third consecutive year. The Lyceum Wattala girls amassed an impressive tally of 138 points, showcasing exceptional teamwork, determination and consistency throughout the championship. Their remarkable performances across all age categories reflected the school’s strong relay tradition and commitment to athletic excellence.
The team also recorded outstanding age-group achievements by emerging Under-18 Overall Champions and Overall Runnersup in Under-20, Under-16 and Under-14 categories. Winning the Girls’ Overall Championship for the third year in succession is a testament to the dedication of the athletes, the tireless efforts of the coaching staff and the unwavering support of the school community. Each of the Lyceum Wattala age group relay teams displayed discipline, resilience and a fighting spirit, contributing to this memorable triumph.
