BCAS Campus Convocation 2025 celebrates over 900 graduates

BCAS Campus proudly hosts its Convocation 2025 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), celebrating the achievements of more than 900 graduates who successfully complete internationally recognised academic programmes. A total of 906 graduates are recognised at the Convocation, including 241 undergraduate and postgraduate graduates, 625 Pearson Higher National Diploma graduates and 40 Pearson Level 7 Diploma graduates.

The ceremony is presided over by the leadership of BCAS Campus, including Mr. Teresh Amaratunga, Chief Executive Officer, BCAS Campus, Professor Ruvan Abeysekara, Vice Chancellor, BCAS Campus, whose collective vision and leadership continue to strengthen BCAS Campus as one of Sri Lanka’s foremost providers of internationally recognised higher education. The Convocation takes place in two distinguished sessions with the participation of respected academic, professional and institutional representatives.

The first session is graced by Prof. Sarath Bandaranayake, Professor in Physics, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, University of Peradeniya, as the Chief Guest. Mr. Suriya Bibile, Regional Manager - South Asia, Pearson, UK, attends as the Guest of Honour. The session is also attended by Mr. Rozan Jameel, Member of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Vasantha Kumar, Member of the Board of Governors.

The second session is graced by Mr. Orlando Edwards, Country Director, British Council Sri Lanka, as the Chief Guest. Hon. Manicavasagar Elancheleyan, AAL, Former High Court Judge, Sri Lanka, attends as the Guest of Honour. Ms. Hamzi Haniff, Education Programme Manager, British Council Sri Lanka, also participates as a Special Guest. Convocation 2025 celebrates graduates across disciplines including Business, Computing, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, Applied Sciences, Nursing and other specialised fields, reflecting the strength of BCAS Campus’ academic portfolio and its contribution to higher education in Sri Lanka.

The occasion also marks an important period of growth for BCAS Campus as it continues to expand its international academic partnerships through new collaborations with London South Bank University (LSBU) and Goldsmiths, University of London. These partnerships create new opportunities for Sri Lankan students to pursue internationally recognised British qualifications locally. BCAS Campus states that Convocation 2025 is a celebration of perseverance, ambition and academic achievement, as graduates step into the next stage of their professional and personal journeys. BCAS Campus congratulates the Class of 2025 and looks forward to seeing its graduates contribute to their professions, communities and the nation.
