The University of Kelaniya is set to host Medusa 2.0, Sri Lanka’s premier inter-university cybersecurity competition, organized by the Electronics and Computer Science Club (ECSC), a dynamic initiative fully spearheaded by undergraduates of the pioneering BSc (Hons) in Electronics and Computer Science degree program.
As cybersecurity becomes a critical national concern, the ECSC continues to provide practical platforms for students to test and refine their skills. Following the remarkable success of Medusa 1.0, which drew 400+ competitors from over 15 universities, Medusa 2.0 promises to be even larger and more competitive.
This interuniversity Capture-The-Flag (CTF) will challenge participants in areas such as cryptography, web exploitation, digital forensics, and reverse engineering. Winners of Medusa 2.0 will be awarded exciting cash prizes: Rs. 100,000 for Champions, Rs. 60,000 for Runners-up, and Rs. 40,000 for Third Place. Registrations and full details are now open at ecsc-uok.com.
