Anniversary celebrations of Vidura College: Colombo 20 years and Kalutara 2 years
Having produced a vast number of intellectuals in multiple fields to serve both in Sri Lanka and overseas over the last two decades, Vidura College proudly commemorated its 20th Anniversary in Colombo in January 2019 and the 2nd Anniversary of its Kalutara branch in February 2019. Among the many events organized to mark the 20th Anniversary at the main Campus of the school at Thalawathugoda, the most significant events were the issuing of a few commemorative stamps and the alms- giving. These events were conducted with the participation of a large number of invited guests, current students, past pupils, parents and well-wishers. Following the traditions of the Buddhist path, the school organised the religious events with the hope of invoking blessings on her students wishing them a successful journey in the Field of Education.
Vidura College has achieved a phenomenal growth over the last 20 years and has carved an iche in the General Education Sector in Sri Lanka as one of the best National Schools in the country. It has recorded this growth from its humble beginning with six students and five staff members in 1999. The Vidura College , as a Vanaspathi in the forest, has established itself with a strongly performing network of schools with a student body of over 4000 in Colombo and its suburbs, Kalautara, Maharagama , Kelaniya, and Kurunegala. The achievements of our students keep growing steadily in every field such as academic, co-curricular and sports with a high command of discipline thereby highlighting the model of education that Vidura College provides to our Sri Lankan society.
