The Senior Choir of Lyceum International School, Nugegoda, led by director Ian Francis Ranasinghe, achieved remarkable success at the 2024 Malaysian Choral Eisteddfod, held from November 6th to 11th. Alongside their talented teachers—artistic director Mr. Clifford Fernando, Western Music Department Head Ms. Shyami Ratnam, Logistics Manager Ms. Nadine Ollegasegram, and Pianist Mr. Avishka Wickramanayake—the choir competed in two categories, earning Gold in both. The choir’s achievements were further highlighted with two special awards: one for “Most Compelling Storytelling” and an invitation to perform at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers during the Grand Prix—a prestigious stage for their powerful performance.

Beyond competing, our choristers forged friendships with peers worldwide, participated in friendship concerts, and attended Master Classes that further enriched their skills. Their success shines brightly, raising not only our school flag but also the flag of our nation with pride. Welcome home, stars!
