Zahira Group of 93 emerge Bowling Champions
Zahira College Colombo Batch 95 organised the second annual Bowling Tournament 2018 among the old boys groups at the Excel World in Darley Road, Colombo. Group of 93 became champions in the final and captain of the winning team Atheek Haniffa received Rupees 40,000 as cash award and the trophy from main sponsor, Dillmaaz Logistics Director W.M.M. Mohamed. The Best Striker award went to Shafeez Fawz of Group of 2011, who received Rupees 10,000 as cash award and a trophy from co-sponsor Sajid Ameer, Proprietor of Sadid Enterprises. Zahira Veterans emerged runners-up while captain Mohamed Imthinam received Rupees 20,000 in cash and a trophy from T.J.I. Ismail, who represented co-sponsor NI Consultancy (UK).
In addition an exhibition match between Batch 95 ExCo and OBA ExCo was held where the OBA ExCo became champions. For the winning team M.R.A. Razak received trophy from Batch 95 President Naveez Marzook. Fourteen teams participated in the competition representing Group of 93, OZTA, Group of 2009, Group of 90, Batch 95 Maroon, Batch 95 Avatar, Batch of 2002, The Riders, Group 2007, Batch 95 Eagles, Batch 95 Green, Zahira Veterans, Group of 2011and Scout Masters. President of the Batch 95 Naveez Marzook, Project Chairman Fayaz Mooseen, Secretary Aashick Shaffy, Patron M.A.F. Azhar and members of the Batch 95 and other Groups were also present at the event.
