Lyceum International School, Nugegoda, proudly hosted the Traffic Wardens Workshop organised by the Sri Lanka Police, bringing together student traffic wardens from schools across the Nugegoda Police Division.
The programme featured a series of training sessions and live demonstrations in the city, vividly showcasing the contrast between unsafe road behaviour and the correct practices essential to preventing accidents.
Guided by Mr. Manoj Ranagala, Director of the Traffic Control and Road Safety Division, and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Mangala Dehideniya, the workshop was organized by the Mirihana Police Station under the leadership of HQI Mr. Dushmantha Liyanage. Traffic Police officials presented impactful demonstrations on road safety, equipping students with both practical skills and valuable knowledge. By hosting this initiative, Lyceum Nugegoda provided a meaningful platform for young wardens to take responsibility and play an active role in shaping a safer road culture in the community.
