Rotary ; Stop the Spread Back to school campaign takes traction to avoid a 4th wave

Rotary that consists of over a 7000 active Interactors and 8000+ Rotractors that serve on the premise ‘ service above self ’ are driving the stop the spread: Back to school campaign given the rising Covid-19 cases accross the country in the last week with the death rate averaging 20+ daily said the project Director Dr Rohantha Athukorala. Now that that children have started the ‘ back to school drive’ the challenge is if the key consumer behavior changes we saw is reversed, the 4th wave can happen in Sri Lanka said Athukorala. The epicenter for the Covid-19 virus moving to Europe Austria has already moved a lock down whilst Germany is following suit with the seventh day average soaring and hospitals coming under severe pressure given the 4th wave sweeping Germany. This is even after seventy percent of the population fully vaccinated and we must take cognizant of this fact said Athukorala.
