Global education provider, Navitas,brings partners together for conference in Colombo

This week Colombo welcomed 200 international guests from more than 22 countries attending the annual 2018 Navitas Business Partners Conference at the Shangri-La Hotel. The Navitas Business Partners Conference invited20 guests from various Sri Lankan universities who joined the educational advisors and executive membersfrom Navitas’ partner universitiesfrom around the world. They participated in knowledge sharing sessions and workshops that look at developing new perspectives on how to build successful partnerships in the complex international education eco-system of today. The conference coincides with the 20th anniversary of Navitas’ college in Sri Lanka, ACBT. The Australian College of Business Technology (ACBT) teaches over one thousand students across three campuses in Colombo, Kandy and Galle.

ACBT works in association with Navitas partner, Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Perth, Australia, to allow students to study in Sri Lanka and earn a degree from ECU, or complete a pathway course in Sri Lanka and transfer to Australia to complete their degree. ECU, is a top Australian university which has been awarded five star ratings for teaching quality, graduate satisfaction and generic skills for six consecutive years by the Good Universities Guide. Prof. G. L. Peiris also addressed the gathering as a guest of honour while the Navitas CEO, David Buckingham, said, “We are delighted to be here in Colombo to celebrate the 20th anniversary of ACBT, with students, staff, Edith Cowan University and friends of Navitas. Sri Lanka has been a long-standing and important part of the Navitas growth story and we are excited to bring our global partners here for our annual conference.”
