Lyceum collaborates with Huawei: Dawn of a New Partnership

Lyceum Global Holdings along with their technology service partner Zuse Technologies has announced that it is proactive in laying the groundwork for a strong and mutually beneficial partnership with Huawei Sri Lanka. This strategic collaboration aims to bring forth innovative solutions, including the deployment of Smart Classrooms, Digital Power Products, Cloud Services, and the use of Huawei's Enterprise Product Portfolio in Lyceum’s Education and Management sectors. This new collaboration is expected to bring Digital Transformation to Lyceum Global Holdings and strengthen its position as a reputable entity across its specialised sectors.

On September 20, 2023, Huawei Connect 2023 kicked off in Shanghai, bringing together business leaders, technology experts, partners, developers, and industry stakeholders from around the world to explore new opportunities for an intelligent future. The Group’s Chairman and CEO, Mr Nikitha Grero along with the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) Mr Kushan Gunasekara, the Director of Finance Saliya  Kulasekara and the President of Huawei South Asia Representative Office Pan Junfeng (Peter) along with the other representatives attended the event. During the visit, the Management team of Lyceum Global Holdings and Huawei engaged in a dynamic discussion about their plans for Digital Transformation with Huawei, as well as how Smart Teaching and Learning can be facilitated at Lyceum International School along with the implementation of Digital Power products in its branches island-wide.

This invitation extended by Huawei strengthened Huawei's relationship with Lyceum Global Holdings. Following his participation in the event, Mr Nikitha Grero stated, "This is a revolutionary step for Lyceum Global Holdings as a whole and especially to ensure a secure digital future for our young scholars at Lyceum International School," while hoping for a better future for Sri Lankan schools by implementing Education 4.0 methods. He also said that using Smart Technology and Digital Power Solutions, as well as the other invaluable services provided by Huawei, will not only improve the infrastructure of their Management sector but will also improve the Lyceum International School students' tech literacy, ensuring their place in the professional world.

Speaking about the collaboration, Mr Kushan Gunasekara said the Huawei Connect Conference was an excellent opportunity to see firsthand what Huawei has in store for AI, Cloud Services, and Smart Education. “We are thrilled to be working with Huawei for the betterment of Lyceum Global Holdings, and look forward to our future endeavours in this regard”, he added.

During the meeting held between the Lyceum Global Holdings top Management and the Huawei South Asia Region top officials, Huawei South Asia Region President Peter Pan Junfeng stated that "Huawei as a trusted partner will continue to support Lyceum group in its Digital Transformation journey. This is by introducing innovative technologies and leveraging the best-in-class products and solutions to achieve success in industry digitalisation in the multiple sets of industries Lyceum Group currently operates in, mainly focusing on smart solutions for the Education, Transport and Construction industries”.  Huawei’s vision and mission is to bring digital to every person, home and organisation for a fully connected, intelligent world.

This collaboration will open doors for more opportunities to apply smart tech at Lyceum International School and other Lyceum Global Holdings sectors.
