Applications for the 2024 GCE Ordinary Level Examination are now open and can be submitted through the online system until November 30. According to Examinations Chief Amith Jayasundara, school applicants are required to apply through their school principals, while private applicants must follow specific guidelines to submit their applications personally online. Private applicants should use their national identity cards (NIC) to apply.
If an NIC is unavailable, applicants may register and submit their applications using their guardian’s NIC. The Department advises all applicants to carefully review the instructions on the official websites, www. doenets.lk or www.onlineexams.gov. lk/eic, before submitting applications. A printed copy of the application should be retained for future reference. Usernames and passwords needed for school applications have already been provided to school principals. Mr Jayasundara emphasised that the application deadline of midnight on November 30 is final and will not be extended under any circumstances. (NA)
