At the All Island Inter School Team Chess Championship held recently, the Under 15 Boys Team from Lyceum Nugegoda emerged the 1st Runner up in A Division.

The Under 15 Boys team consisted of 7 members: Sasandu Dissanayake, Thevindu Nagasinghe, Mesanda Gamage, Sethum Weerasinghe, Manith Liyanage, Lisara Kodithuwakku and Sethmika Hemachandra. The Under 9 Boys team was placed 1st Runner up in B Division with Dulein Labunahewage receiving a Board Prize. Under 11 Boys team was placed 6th in B Division and Under 13 Boys was placed 5th in A-Division with Tathika Waduge and Senethu Liyana Hewage receiving board prizes.

Lyceum International School Nugegoda was also the only International School to have been placed among the top 3 in the Under 15 Boys A Division category which is a proud achievement for the school.
