A quarter of a century in the field of education is a milestone for celebration. Lyceum International School Panadura thus entered its 26th Year of service in the field of Education in Sri Lanka, a founda- tion once laid, now stronger with bricks growing into mounting buildings that house and nurture over 3700 students from pre-prima- ry, primary to upper school.

Lyceum Inter national School Panadura founded on 3rd May in the year 2000, with a mere staff of 7 members and 23 students, have now grown into a strong tree, spreading into boundless branches that pro- vide its shade to the masses.

The school’s management organ- ised an array of celebrations in view of its 25th Anniversary align- ing all religious activities and cele- brations to coincide with the ‘Silver Jubilee’. Lyceum Panadura, a single building that housed one classroom, now nurtures thou- sands of young souls to be ‘Global Citizen’ with its over 700 dedicated staff members.

The main celebration was held on the 2nd of May 2025, at the main school auditorium, during a special assembly. Twenty five staff mem- bers who served on longer terms, others serving more than 20 years, were invited.

Significantly, an anniversary song performed by talented choir was released while a special Cultural Dancing perfor mance engulfed the audience that encom- passed of the Management headed by the Principal Mr Nethan Wijesinghe, teachers, non-academ- ic staff, along with special invitees and students.

The Principal highlighted the importance of carrying forward not just the cherished traditions, but also the values that have long illuminated its path - Groundedness, Goodness, Greatness, and a growth mindset. Education, is not solely about achieving, but about becoming, becoming more thoughtful, more aware, and more human.
