The Lyceum Nugegoda UNESCO Club returned to Sri Lanka after an unforgettable experience at the 6th World Cultural Heritage Youth Symposium 2025, held in Athens, Greece. The young ambassadors, who proudly represented Sri Lanka, were welcomed home at Bandaranaike International Airport this morning (31st March). Organized by the Hellenic Cultural and Educational Club for UNESCO and supported by UNESCO’s Hellenic National Commission, the prestigious event saw the participation of over 450 young delegates from around the world.
During the four-day symposium, the students gave vibrant performances and engaged in meaningful exchanges with their international peers. Their participation left an unforgettable mark on the global stage, embodying the spirit of unity and global cultural appreciation. From passionate cultural performances to thought-provoking discussions, the delegates demonstrated Sri Lanka’s dedication to promoting its heritage internationally.
