AIC Campus Engineering Transfer Students Visit ESIGELEC France

American international Campus (AIC) the first institution to offer Engineering Transfer Program in partnership with a Leading Engineering University in France organized a Summer School session for the transfer students to ESIGELEC for the second consecutive year. First Year Engineering students spent one whole week exploring the University that they will transfer after another year of Study at AIC and visited some of the companies that are partnered with ESIGELEC for Re s e a rch and Development and to provide internships. Students was fortunate to visit the manufacturing and Research and Development Facility of Automobile Giant Renault during their stay in France. Mr. Cyril Marteaux director International at ESIGELEC welcomed the students to the summer session.

The program consisted of tour of the university, sharing experience of current students and teaching sessions of French Language and Computer Science. “Visit to France and to ESIGELEC was a great experience which will carry with me for a long time, my Visit to Renault and also the testing of Renault’s Driverless car which was a dream come true for a car enthusiast like me” stated Shalendra Gunatillake Former Trinity College student and presently AIC Transfer Student. Pushpika Athukorala formerly at Royal College Colombo and AIC Transfer Student commented that “Since we joined AIC ESIGELEC Program we have been having a great University Experience and this visit to France and ESIGELEC the university we will be transferring to in a years’ time gave us an experience of a lifetime.

The Infrastructure, research labs and other facilities are great and the whole academic staff at ESIGELEC looked after us and felt like we are at home. We have learned the French language here at AIC and it was very useful and learning French on Campus was very exciting”, I have no words to explain the experience that I went through during my visit. ESIGELEC is a great university to study engineering. I am counting my days to complete my balance studies in Colombo and to Transfer to France next September. Learning French was one of the best things that happened to me I experienced the advantage of learning another global langua ge s t ated Yashodh Karunarathna formerly a Lyceum International student.
