PhD offers for Lankan academics from top Melbourne institute

Applications are called from Lankan academics to apply for a research training collaboration (joint PhD programme) between the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia for 2023. The UGC said the intention is to enhance the research capabilities of the academia here by offering PhD scholarships to increase the number of academics with doctoral qualification. The joint PhD programme is established in partnership with the University of Peradeniya, University of Moratuwa, University of Ruhuna and University of Sri Jayewardenepura. RMIT has offered successful PhD programmes from 2018, with currently 32 candidates in progress, and 4 successful completions, the UGC said.
