British School clinches Futsal Football title
The British School in Colombo emerged unbeaten champions in the Munchee sponsored Inter-Schools Futsal Football Tournament worked off in Colombo. The British School in Colombo added the finishing touches to a successful tournament by o u t p l aying Amal International School quite convincingly 6-1 in the final encounter.
However, the British School in Colombo had a tough semi-final fixture where they were stretched to the maximum before edging- out Elizabeth Moir School 2-1 in an exciting encounter. Earlier, in the preliminary round stage the British School in Colombo went on the ramp a g e to beat A s i a n International School ‘B’ 9-0 and also trounced Amal International ‘B’ 7-0. The British School in Colombo defeated Royal Institute ‘A’ 4-0 in the quarter- final of this tournament which had attracted a total of 16 schools.
