Monday, 23rd of April 2018

The International Schools of Sri Lanka (TISSL) was formed with the Heads of pioneer International Schools of Sri Lanka with the main purpose of improving the country's education system, whilst enhancing and promoting the goodwill and relationships between the 25 member schools in the association. As part of fostering good relationships between schools to help them exchange best practices, whilst identifying methods that contribute towards the development of school education in Sri Lanka, the TISSL annually initiates an overseas tour for the Heads of Schools. The international tour mainly focused on professional development of the School Heads of our member schools and also aimed to expand horizons and to provide hands on experience of international developments, which can significantly strengthen our school systems in Sri Lanka.

This year TISSL partnered with Konnect Konsultants who coordinated with Australian Institutes and organized the 8 days programme in Australia to Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Gold Coast. Konnect provides strategic marketing solutions to education institutions and key stake holders within the international education industry. As part of the tour, 23 Heads of schools visited and met Australian schools, universities, education technology and support organizations and Australian Government representatives.
