ANC Education supports emerging scientists

Wednesday, 13th of December 2017

Hamzters join hands with ANC, the pioneer in international tertiary education, for a better tomorrow!

Hamzter, a Life Science start-up led by Rakitha Malewana, an inventor, scientific researcher, and youth activist, conducted its first school based project to promote scientific research and innovation among school children at Nalanda College, Colombo last week, in collaboration with ANC Education. Hamzter is dedicated to biomedical inventions on disease prevention and treatment.

They strongly believe that “young people are the key to change! (They) focus on building, leading, and sustaining a collaborative environment in which young scientists, researchers, inventors, and students can present their innovative ideas on today’s challenges to create a more sustainable world for tomorrow.” ANC takes pride in collaborating with Hamzters on this worthy cause, the brainchild of Rakitha, who is reading for his BS degree in Biochemistry (with Business Administration minor) at ANC. “ANC is the most suitable sponsor for a project of this nature; ANC is already committed to empowering local students by creating ample opportunities for quality education.

I’m sure our partnership with ANC will help us reach out to more youngsters studying in both national and international schools. Together we will create a better world,” says Rakitha. Hamzters are looking forward to launch a series of school based projects in Sri Lanka next year. The next step is to reach out to more young people in the developing world. Rakitha, being the winner of Queen’s Young Leader Award last year, has got what it takes for Hamzters to represent their interests in the international arena.

ANC is more than happy to be with them in their pursuit to make a difference in the world! Please contact ANC Education on 0777449955| or visit us at www.ancedu.com| No.308 – 310, R. A. De Mel Mawatha, Colombo 03. You can also reach Hamzters at ideanerdsl.wordpress.com
